Sometimes browsers can get in funny states and cause malfunctions in Keep&Share or any other website. If you are experiencing a strange error while using your Keep&Share account, we suggest refreshing your browser. A “hard refresh” command only takes a second, is harmless, and often clears up any problems.
Here’s how to use the “hard refresh” command on your internet browser:

Since the introduction of Safari 4, I've been missing the dedicated Refresh button in the Toolbar. While there is one available at the end of the location bar, it's much smaller than it used to be and is too close to other easier-to-hit targets.
- On a Windows PC: When you are logged into Keep&Share in your browser press Ctrl-F5 (hold down the “Ctrl” key and then, while still holding it, press the “F5” key on your computer's keyboard). You should see your browser screen refresh.
- On a Mac: When you are logged into Keep&Share in your browser press Command-R (hold down the “Command” key and then, while still holding it, press the “R” key on your computer's keyboard). You should see your browser screen refresh.
A hard refresh tells the browser to do a complete refresh, flushing out everything it's got and getting new copies from the web service. It's a useful command whenever you think a website is not displaying correctly.
The other method of doing a hard refresh is opening the Chrome Dev Tools (press F 12) and then right clicking on the refresh button. From the resultant drop-down list, select “hard reload.” For Mac users, Hold down the Shift key and then click on the reload button. Alternatively, hold down the Cmd key and then press the R key.

Current Firefox versions use a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar. During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button. If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button. To refresh or reload a webpage in the Safari web browser on a Mac, you press a simple keyboard shortcut combination: Command + R reloads a webpage in Safari on Mac Command + R in Safari for Mac reloads a webpage, making it essentially the same thing as hitting F5 on Windows when viewing a webpage.
